What is the impact of child labor laws?
Most children under the age of fourteen (14) may not be employed (with certain exceptions like newspaper delivery). A child under the age of sixteen (16) may not be hired to perform hazardous work, and there are restrictions upon the hours that may be worked. There are both state and federal laws which regulate the employment of children.
